The Challenge
LevelFields is an AI-powered fintech startup helping people find better investing opportunities. When we came in there was no marketing strategy, no proven channel, no validated positioning, and no data. What there was, as with any startup, was a burn rate and investors expecting visible progress.
The real problem wasn't growth. It was not knowing which of a hundred possible directions was the right one, and not having time to find out slowly.
The Approach
We went back to first principles. Instead of assuming a channel and optimizing it, we started by asking why people weren't signing up, including talking directly to customers.
Then we ran a fast, deliberate testing program across everything that could plausibly matter: channels, tactics, personas, positioning, messaging, content, website modules, and product features. Every test was tracked, so leadership always knew what had been tried, what hadn't, and what the results actually meant.
The Work
- 01Customer conversations and first-principles diagnosis of signup friction
- 02Rapid testing across multiple acquisition channels and tactics
- 03Tested and iterated on personas, positioning, and messaging
- 04Website module and on-site experience testing
- 05Informed product and feature recommendations based on findings
- 06Maintained a clear record of what had been tested and what was still open
- 07Reporting built for leadership and investor visibility
Results
- New customer acquisition established and ramped
- A validated picture of which channels and positioning to double down on, and which to abandon
- Clear evidence of the specific friction keeping prospects from signing up
- Leadership and investors given a legible view of marketing progress and reasoning
